Nice shot of the beautiful Agate! Excellent contest entry! Nice lighting shining off the patterns in the rock with good focus and great details. Nicely framed to get a good section of the rock in the frame! Best of luck in the contest!

Great Artist notes, nature makes the most beautiful things. The use of sun light in the back really helps bring out the details of the agate. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you very much, I tried for both the crystals and the bands. It was not easy since I was holding the camera over head and the slice against the lense. I couldn't see well enough against the sun, So I took a dozen or so shots moving the slice around. I will post another shot in time after the contest is over with a table lamp as light source.
