Thank you very much! these leaves are a two feet hedge in reality, I think that is why these guys put a spot on the pumpkin rather than to light it from the inside. The didn't want that hedge on fire.

great photo
like the light a lot
nice composition with the half circle of plants around the pumpkin, and the sort of curving slope of the horizon
has some drama
like the shade under the pumpkin, how the light shines on it's face, the black silhouettes in the backround and the blueish/purple sky
like the textures of smooth pumpkin next to plants

This isn't what I expected to see as a lit pumpkin, but I love it. I think the jack-o-lantern stands out even more and love the dark surroundings around it. Especially love the glow on the face. You've made the pumpkin pop out at you and it intensifries the fun scare factor.
Very Cool Shot! :o) Helvi

Thank you very much. You saw exactly what I saw at the oruiginal and why I took the picture. The unusual lighting. The people who displayed the pumpkon used mainly the usual ltght from the lantern on the pas, the house and some away street lights. There was a only as spotlight extra directly pointed at the face. I used only the aviable light, no flash at all.

Thank you very much for your review. This picture is neither edited or a fake. There were no changes made other than a slight adjustment of exposure. It is not cropped. The only light used are the spotlights in neighbors garden. I have the original file with contains the original settings in my possession and can produce it any time it will be necessary. The pumpkin is not natural, but ceramic. I do believe that the use of a ceramic pumpkin is not against the contest rules. since the photo still is an unchanged original and natural pumpkins are neither growing or available were I live.

This is so neat the way you took this one. The way the light shines on the pumpkin is great. I like the way you see the shadow on the ground. The way the sky and background look is excellent. A really interesting and excellent picture. Good luck in the contest.

I love this piece. The pumpkin already has a "evil" look, but the lighting brings it out more. I love how the light is just on the pumpkin and not on anything else. Great job & great pumpkin!
