This is an awesome shot, the depth is amazing. I love the deep blue of the sky with the bridge cables running through it. Is this bridge around Hawesville, Ky. (just curious) Beautiful focus and clarity.

Thank you so very much! This is the Willam H. Natcher bridge crossing the Ohio river on us highway 231 going into Rockport Indiana and this road will take you to interstate 64. This brige is about 20 miles west of Hawesville Ky.

You're welcome, and thank you for the information, I was working in Hawesville, Ky for about 6 weeks many years ago and we actually stayed in Tell City, Indiana so we had to cross that bridge daily.

I go to tell city from time to time. We take our dogs to a Vet over there. I live about 20 miles west of Hawesville.

Wow, small world. My ex husband was an industrial electrician and I worked in the field office and we were on a job there at some kind of big plant, I can't remember what kind now, anyway I enjoyed being in that area for the short time.

Great shot! Really like how you composed the shot to get the sun behind the pillar. Creates a really nice hallow and silhouette effect. Gorgeous sky as well. How did you manage to get this shot? I recently moved to Philpot and would like to get a shot of this bridge.

This is beautiful the way you took it. I like the way you are looking up at i. I like the way you see all the cables. The way you see the clouds through the cables is great. I think this would have been better f you had cropped the dark off of the bottom. Good luck in the contest.

I was getting ready to leave the FAR site after writing a review when this shot popped up. The initial impact caused me to respond. I like the semi-silhouette of the bridge against that beautiful bright blue sky. The slight flair around the tower adds to the drama of the shot. Interesting perspective and point of view. Good composition, lighting and exposure. Good luck in the contest.
