Nice catch for you as well. Not only is the subject great but you caught the action with clarity, focus, color and contrast. I like the slow motion of the water, in what is obviously extremely a fast occuring scene. Great picture.

Comments: A cyber 6.0 coming your way. My hat is off to you. When you take a picture of the Great Blue it always turns up as a WOW picture. I have not quite perfected my skill as a photography to match you yet. But I am learning every day how to become better. The Great Blue is one of my most favorite bird to shoot pictures of. You never really know what they are going to do. But if you are lucky to have the patience to wait they will always reward you with a great picture. That is when you need to be good enough to capture the luck you just had. Your pictures are always super. I am green with envy on this particular shot. You even have captured the water drops falling off this bird. I have trouble using the auto focus on my camera it just is not fast enough to change rapidly enough to capture the action shots like you do. For the last couple of weeks I have been using manual focus and seem to be getting better shots. Your picture is of exceptional quality. Very good Stop Action, Very crisp and clear, Very Good DOF, Very good with the way it is composed. Very good story telling. If you can't tell by now I really like this picture. In fact I am going to add it to my favorites. Thanks for the excellent set of artist notes that accompany all your posts. Thanks for sharing this wonderful and beautiful bird with all of us at FAR.

Nice catch for him and great capture for you. The water must have been shallow. It looks like the heron is walking on the water. The color of the water is beautiful. The focus is clear and crisp. Great job.

Thank you so very much! The water is about 10 feet deep here! He went under water and is coming up out of the water as he is flying off with his prize.

Out of sixs but there can only be hone person who shots a bird shot like this. Great job Birdman of FAR. The colors and the reflections are awesome. Technically an excellent shot. Story is very good. Lighting is perfect.
