This really is a great piece. I like the fullness of the mane. The loins face is very well detailed. The colors are alive and jump from the page. I really like your choice of the background color. This is really nicely done, and quite enjoyable to view. Best of luck.

I am not a Leo but Im loving this Lion! Our mascot for high school was a lion and so the minute I seen this it just took me back to such wonderful memories. Great job!! Its a very beautiful beast :)

This is an overall lovely painting. I like the way the lion is slightly off center with the sky in balance and I like the mystical quality of him. This is just a couple of small things that you might consider re-doing. His right (left as you look at the painting) eye seems to be not quite right- The focus is fine, but where is the light coming from? And although it is really a head-on painting, it is quite a bit darker and smaller than his left. On his left side (right as you look at him)and on his chin there are white hair lines that stand out from the rest of him. None on the other side. It appears that they were added later, but perhaps could be blended more or some added to the other side. Just my humble opinion- and from a distance, rather minor.

I can't thank you enough for such an indepth review. I am still fairly new to digtal art, I just began this year. I've ccme a long way however I stil have alot to learn. Lighting and shading is one of the hardest things for me. Eyes are just soemthing I'm beginning to get the hang of however , for whatever reason if I get one right you can quarentee the other is off, guess its my eyes LOL
