Lovely composition. Particularly like the Autumn colours as a background.The piece of wood or stone also adds to the composition. Good luck in the contest.

What a great job you did in capturing your photo "Colors of fall" which is simply remarakable and beautiful. The first time I saw it on FAR's homepage being promoted... I thought wow, this photo really looks more like a painting than a photo which still ceases to amaze me when it comes to photography and naturally love.
Terrific multiple red, orange and yellow foliage which reflects pretty in the water. Nice blurred background along with a nice soft focus. A fine catch here with artist notes. Great job.

This is a beautiful shot. The reflections merge into the background but still manages to form separation. The heron is focused and frozen as though he is in a natural frozen state hunting for prey.
His next meal may or maynot be behind the wood?

very nice back ground color. is this the original color of the background? the blue heron is awesome and really adds a lot of quality and interest to the photographic scene. the heron is noble in appearance with a natural sense of beauty. very nice photograph

Good title and artist notes and the viewer can see from the photo that this fella is searching for food. Good natural position of the bird and well detailed image. Love the beautiful fall colors shown in the water. Nice presentation.
