You have done very well here Annie, I have to say though...not really a fan of the frame. But thats just me & doesnt take anything away from this.
The composition is a real winner & the contrast between sharpness in the fur & smoother regions is excellent.
When you mask photos with sharpness this is the exact effect you get. Beautiful.
The exposure is alos fantastic. Showing the rich colouring well & still holding detail.
This should do very well in the contest, best of luck with that.

It is indeed a nice entry for the contest, the kittens have a soft and sweet look to them, and yet they are sprawled out like little lions. the textures in this arefor me, the really nice part, fur, and rock seem almost touchable. Donkeyoatey

Nice shot and great for the contest. Interesting contrast between soft cuddly kittens and the rocky surface they are sleeping on. The adjustments you made have played nicely with the shading of the colors and the idea of the soft furry kittens. Thank you for sharing and best of luck.

I have been away so long, I ran out of six's and I so regret it now. This is so picture perfect, so adorable and without any editing it is awesome. You have managed to shoot these soft little cuties, using your camera to create this soft and perfectly matched settings. Frame works well also, love this! Please don't go! S.

These little guys are definitely adorable!
I really like this photo because what you did by softening the image...you put the viewer in the same state as the sleeping kittens. You put us in the same soft, dream-like world they must be experiencing while sleeping.

Adorable shot- I love the way you've done the background in muted tones,keeping the kittens in focus. Nothing much more cuddly and loveable than kittens- and these three are such clones of each other, you might think you are seeing triple! Good luck in the contest.
