A very beautiful rose. You did a great job with the filter effects. They grey background gives it a soft appeal. It really does look very victorian.
I like it very much.

So delicately muted looks like paper. Great focus and detail. Like the light showing through the back and the faint shadow of the petal. Very nice shot.

I do like the texture Annie, but in some ways the image looks more like a water color or painting. The flower seems to be lifted from the background; it adds depth, but there is a sense of unrealism. The color(texture) of the lower portion of the flower seems to be one with the background. I think there is something about the filter that leaves your image without a lot of life. You have me between a rock and a hard place with this one. I can't say your work is bad. I am just not particular fond of it. I guess it depend on the viewer. I am going to go with a five because I can't say you work is bad, but personally I'm just not fond of the look. Annie, personal taste has nothing to do with your quality work.

Your welcome Annie.

This is so very pretty and old fashioned looking. I love the backlight and the way it changes the coloring of the rear petals. I can almost smell the scent of this beauty. Very nicely done.

Very beautiful rose. The grey scarf behind it along with the lighting from the background are very good choices. The detail, clarity and colors are all very nice. Good work! -Sherry

A beautifully chosen subject and it is obvious from the notes that a lot of care was given in capturing the image. The soft pink pastels of the rose are so nicely documented against the grey scarf. Well done my friend, thanks for sharing. Cyn

Perfect title, and lovely almost sad look at the rose, I like the filter too, but don't use it much. I think you have a great feel for using filters as an adjustment, which is how they really should be used, and adds to the wonderful creativity of your shots. Donkeyoatey
