I like the colors of this photo and how they blend and flow. The focus and clarity are very good. I find it a bit out of balance and would maybe crop a bit off the bottom which I feel would improve this to 5 stars.

Crop the bottom. One of my ideas was to capitalize on the layering. The colorful trees. Their reflection partially covered by water plants. The bare tree limb. The reflection of the otherwise hidden blue sky. AND, in the foreground, silhoueteed against the water, the scraggly bushes. Well, that is a lot going on. And the scraggly bushes are not conventionally pretty. And, the brightness of the blue sky dulls the fall colors. Trimming would change it from portrait to landscape. Advantage? If I cut out all of the blue sky reflection, I lose the only view of the treetops. Any further thoughts? I'm interested.

Good points. My thoughts are to crop just up to the tree top reflections... Mabe a little spcae between that and the bottom. You would lose some of the foreground but still keep some of it to frame the scane.
