Bird man great as always.
Good center of interest. The DOF is great leaving all the focus on the bird and flowers.

A really great picture. Shows that rules (thirds) can sometimes be tossed out the window. The flowers are really colorful. The out of focus background leaves us in the foreground completely. Your picture could even survive cropping to show only the bird and the flower he is drinking from.

This is really cute. I usually do not like dead center, but in this case, if you had cropped right, you would have lost those flowers, if cropped left she would be facing out of frame, so you had to do it this way I know. I love the sharpness of this little lady. And the background is flawless, beautiful blurred.

Thank you so very much! Thirds is a rule to go by but not necessary always!

You are welcome. And like they always say, rules are made to be broken...lol

I would rule out a band quickly. I read an article on this man that does that and the bands are teeny, tiny. Don't look anything at all like this. It looks like it is on one of her claws so I would guess it is a tiny scrap of material or paper she collected when nest building. Nice shot. Wonderful background. The best of luck in the contest. Thanks for sharing.
