Quite a meaningful shot as Easter approaches and spring gets under way! Your photo is well composed, sharp and well exposed. I have enjoyed looking at it and reviewing it. Fine shot, well done.

In amongst the brown we have a spark of life shooting forth. What a nice story your image gives.

COMPOSITION
The creative way you placed the new shoot in amongst the brown and still sleeping twigs is effective and there is visual impact which then translates in to a smile. Ahhh yes, spring is here.

You followed the grid rule however, don't stay married to it, remember it's not the LAW handed down to us by THE GOD OF PHOTOGRAPHY. It is only a guide that works most times but like all rules don't be afraid to break it for esthetic reasons.

TECHNIQUE
I really like the horizontal format of your posting as it begs our eyes to sweep grandly over your 'canvas' and you do have many focal points that lead and grab the eye.

If I can make one suggestion it is to darken that very white straw that is sticking into the green leaves. Remember if you darken in photography you minimize, if you brighten, you emphasize. Can you see how that straw jutting into the leaves demands attention....and gets it? (mark deduction for this flaw)

There is a nice message to your image that besides the noble art of getting things done , there is a noble art to leaving things undone and so your photograph emphasizes to leave nature in it's own simple beauty...to see the lovely in every little thing.

Technically well done, nice ambient light, good dof, wonderful natural colour saturation. It's a very pleasant image. Good work.

    THANK YOU..
    Thank you for the encouragement.
I too thought about that white stick pointing to the leaf..dint modify it because i thought it would be too much of a manipulation..
Will take better photographs next time. Thank you.

Hi, If you remember that light subjects bring attention to themselves and dark diminishes attention...but I'm not sure if darkening that stick would help much.
