We should thank our lucky stars that we are living in better times and the cruel past is behind us.This painting is 'wunderbar! The fluidity, expressiveness is typical of your works. I love it.

What an interesting story. I have read and reread your comments several times trying to get a handle on what I see in the painting. I am not an artist so I have to admit that I am having some trouble understanding what you are trying to describe.
From the comments, obviously you are expressing a lot of thought and feelings in this painting. The composition and the colors are all well done. Using the lighter pastel colors adds a much different effect than would bright sharp colors. The lines representing her hair, but only on one side and then coming around in back give a nice symmetry to the head and adds to the symmetry of the box she is sitting on. The box, with the fence like structure in the front, and the German helmet toward the center must have some deep expression and I apologize that I do not understand the meaning. The helmet and the guns that the helmet is clustered with, yes. Also it is interesting that one side of the person is healthy, strong, and vibrant while the other side is decimated. Does that express the camps in some manner?
A very interesting painting. I truly apologize for not better understanding. I also apologize that I was unable to better critique your work.

pictures have two levels, the ordinary viewer's interest with its interpretations and the in-knowledge, ie history etc.. it is enough if you find it interesting and it has some sort of meaning- thank you so much for an interesting review-

Thank you. This painting was one of my first reviews on this site. Since then I have done many more and I am getting a feel for reviewing art. I suspect I will be much better the next time I look at your work. I have been going to other sites and trying to learn how to better critique artwork without tearing it down..in other words giving good constructive critiques and describing how the art makes me feel and such. I am trying to put great effort into my reviews although I still come across pieces that I find very difficult to review and "just don't get" but I try! thank you.

Excellent painting. Your colors and shapes are unique. I like the details of the box or whatever she is sitting on. Your talent is unsurpassed. Good work!
