I like the sharp focus and the bird's reflection in the water. The bird is captured in a good pose.
I am not that keen on the water that serves as a contrast to the bird. I know this is what was probably the color of the water when you took the picture, but it does not flatter the bird. i would try to darken the water with photo software to try and achieve a more flattering backdrop.

I see the reflective colors of fall on the water and on top of it... I see the bird and his reflection in the water as well.
Great capture... The presentation is good, center of interest is good, and the story telling is excellent.

Lovely shot! The angle is really nice, focus and sharpness and good and so are the choice of aperture and ISO. I would ever so slightly play around with light/contrast on the water for added effect and remove the brown fuzzy 'dot' on the mid left part of the image. ... may look interesting in B&W too...
