Thanks for use of this stunning piece-it makes a perfect companion to my story SPLIT/SPLIT SECOND about the minuscule differences that deem one a gold medalist and another last place. Cheers. LIZ

Beautiful piece Mark with a wonderful design. Fantastic colors, with an extremely vivid display against the black background. Nice torch on the side also with a realistic flame. You da man.

Very nice, I like the rings of the Olympics in the back, the torch is a little distracting, but the athlete is great. Nice form, just love the colors.

Excellent art work. I remember the 68 Olympics and had forgotten some of that. Your picture reminded me. It is a good representation of the event. And yes, you are right, in some ways we are better off now.

A good tribute and very valid points made in your notes.
I don't think any further comment is necessary - the artwork speaks for itself.
Thanks for sharing

I was just being an infant and don't really remeber much of this turmoil.
My sister had some trouble in school with racial issues but I can say I never really had a big issue with it. and I am glad. my brother was the first class when the schools were intergrated and he had some issues. too. but it all worked out. seems harsh on these althletes.

I do remember the scene veery well. These athletes had a great awarness of what was happening. It is a shame that their medals have not been reinstated. Great historical work.

Well, I have to say you have done it again. This is a brilliant image. You are certainly not short on creativity! Colours are bright and vivid with the black background emphasizing all the elements. The flaming touch is a very good touch.
