Never knew black and white work pretty good with squirrels.
Great shot, love how you got his full body and in action.
Good rule of thirds, clean and clear.
A nice subject to draw or sketch as well.

Black and white photography is one of the best mediums when done right. You have captured all the texture from shiny to rough to individual hair. The darkness of the background is really making the image such a standout. Perfect grays and deep blacks are not as easy to achieve as one would expect and it is done masterfully here.
