I have never seen such a color scheme on a flower before, The red and the blacks are stunning in their vibrancy. Nice capture.

It sure is a very bright red! Good close up with nice detail. It sure looks like a very interesting flower. How big is it?

A beautiful capture of these unusual looking Red & Black flowers with the sun shining off the curved black petal of the one on the left. Framed perfectly by their soft grey green stems & foliage. Excellent composition, camera techniques 7 razor sharp focus.

What a very strange bloom, the likes of which I do not remember seeing previously. Although I live in the UK, I am familiar with lots of "exotic" plants, but never seen this before! What an eye-catching and unusual bloom. Looks like two huge eyes looking out from some kind of devilish face! You have framed the shot very well. Perspective is very good, as is focus and DoF. I like it a lot!

they're never seen here on the southeast coast of Queensland. I actually can't remember ever seeing a real one. It's a pretty amazing flower and so unique. Lovely colors and unique shape. Your focus is pin sharp and the exposure is good. Top shot.

Thanks Sonja, I haven't seen them in outback but my late brother took photos when he did a trip to Alice Springs, they were like a carpet, his wife saw the odd ones and made him stop to take photo then they went over a small hill and the carpet lay either side of the road. Cheers Mary :)

A unusual but pretty flower. It is a shame they don't bloom more often. Great, detail, lighting and composition. Thank you for sharing!
