I know the name of these plants but for the minute forget it, starts with "E". They do look like thistles but flowers are blue. Leaves are green and usually have a white vein which is wide on some varieties and narrower on others. They make for great photography subjects as their leaves are quite structural in appearance. In your shot they appear silver and almost glow. I like the golden tones in the background as well as the darker tones which highlight the silvery colours. Not keen on frames but works well in this image.

I really want to give you a 6 on this one. This is really cool and I have no idea how you did it but you did it very well. Love the contrasts of the colors and the spikes are phenomenal. What a beautiful photo and so well done Miss Annie. I love this.
