Not being in your part of the world, I have not seen a real life cow girl, but this is how I imagine her to look in my own mind. The background scenery is stunning. Looks something like the Grand Canyon. I love the warmth this work oozes!

This is a gorgeous work as usual. Both landscape and the girl are so well done.
I love the expression of here. She appears to just turns around and look to us.
The expression is one of innocent, but you do not forget to include your speciality female appeal.
The background color is so vibrant and Britten a whole image.
Thank you for sharing.

The colours in this are gorgeous. I am drawn to rustic colours and the vibrancy of the blue outfit she wears stands out well. I like your style of art, crisp, clear. Very nice.

What a fun painting from the funky sky to the high in the saddle cowgirl. By the way, love the gleam on the saddle leather, the vest, and her expression. Really neatly done!

I know- but what would you call it? (a creation?) It's not really a drawing either...
reply by the author on 17-Apr-2013
really it is a drawing with sharpie markers...me i really refer to myself as a sharpie illustrator..would do u think?
reply by ckbesq on 19-Apr-2013
I think you're much more of a fine artist than an illustrator.

I missed this as it went through the site. I had to leave you a comment though. This is so well done on so many levels. To think you actually created this with traditional "sharpies" boggles my mind.. The lines are all good,Eyes equal and well focused, shapes and form are wonderful. The "grand canyon" depiction is accurate and quite realistic in the use of shadow and directional lighting. The sky could use a bit of help but that could be a easy fix I think? The "summer" clouds around that area are Cumulus and are more "billowy".. As a art realistic piece I think it would help a bit at least?..My other suggestion would be to draw "her" a bit more to the left side so we (as viewers) can see a bit more of where she is riding. I feel a bit squished in the space in front of her..

A seriously fine view and I appreciate the ability to leave you a few thoughts...dennis

trying to keep the POV on her more so than the background..my philosophy is the background does plays an important role as well as the POV..thats why i try to keep the detail in as much as possible...i was going for a cloudy hazy day but agree i should have added more to it.,it can still be added..after all its still white on that part of the posterboard..wink.. thanks for the excellent review.

The rendition of the woman on her horse is done well. Good sharp lines define the clothing. I think a bit less red in her face and the rock in the background might enhance the drawing more. Well done.
