it is a great quandary and mystery, of the origins of the dragon. i'm sure the chinese dug up loads of old dinosaur bones and did not know what the hell they could be!? i'm born under the sign of the dragon and its the most magical and mystical creature. i'm sure as your picture represents, that there could be many different types of dragon. i think they usually tend to be greatly misunderstood and with a sensitive soul, beneath a tough and rough exterior.

I know, you were born under the Dragon. I remember your impressive tattoo photo. You are probably right about the Chinese dragons and the dinosaurs. That is why my baby dragon looks like one. Isn't it interesting that the Chinese Dragons are symbols of emperors and said to bring luck while European dragons seem often mean and aggressive, even in spite of sometimes protecting virgins? I like the Chinese interpretation much better.

your image raises a lot of questions. i read once in a chinese horoscope that for me being a gemini dragon, that if i don't control my energy i'll just explode. i had a terrible burn out when training for one thai boxing fight and then had to retire. i like the chinese way because each sign is equal and they tell your weaknesses to; which obviously are far more important to know. i probably share the same love of fantasy as you and when i was a kid, watching all the old sinbad and jason films + clash of the titans to. we can find all of humanity in the monsters we (indeed) create and this is what truly can scare us.

I truly agree with all. I was really surprised to learn that I am an Earth Ox, but I am not sure if the characteristics really apply to me. Some do certainly, but so do the fishes of Europe.
You are right, we certainly share that love for fantasy, and indeed we create the monsters ourselves...

Wow! My dear. Have to say I see even more than just two faces here. Both the good and the evil that exists in our imaginations. The viscous dragon from the morphing good witch on the green side and the way it forms the neck. The good witch is awsome and must have started out in you mide as quite beautiful. The bird in her hair is just spectacular and definitely brings the good to the FG for me. Think this is just wicked awsome from the blending of the colors from the brown red of the good hair to the red green of the bad features. The eyes are truly penetrating but the varing degrees size and shape. All make such a cohesive picture, great job. Good luck in the contest. Hope you and yours have a wicked aws day, C

Thank you. You made my day with that review, your wishes and your high rating. I truly appreciate that you looked so closely at my picture and thought about its meaning. You got about all what I wanted to tell with it. You even understand the eyes! Thank you!

Delightful picture of a Halloween picture. I love the effect you have gotten. I would have liked to see the nose, mouth and chin more pronounced since the eyes are so dark. More like the dragon at the bottom.

Thank you very much. I wanted the eyes looking different, I will think about your input and what to do about chin and nose.

Give them a distinct line using the browns from the hair.

Very subtle and imaginative picture. It flows well. The author's notes enhance the visual expression in this digital painting. The colors are harmonious and also flow from green to red. Nice.

LOL, great idea - they are a perfect match - like mom and child - great flowing hair and wonderful color combination , great contest entry - perfect technique - the eyes are clear and somehow standing alone and are of that kind you can look from any angle and they always steer at you - no escape possible - well done

Thank you very much, Thanks especially for noting the eyes. They are painted that way in purpose. You are the only so far to realize that. :-)
