It is outstanding and deserved to win the contest. Sorry I missed it in the first place. The composition is outstanding with the [post of center to the right and ther wildflowers leading into the beautiful dept of the picture to the left. The gray rainy sky seems to announce a storm in late autumn, gives and somewhat moody feel. That moody feeling is contradicted by the light spots of the daisies and the ripe yellow grass which seem to glow in a last ray of sun. The water and the reflection in it render the picturesque scenery beautifully. A landscape touched by man, but claimed back by nature. Interesting also the light spot in the sky behind the post.

The colours are soft and lovely. This scene reminds me of the farming area I live in now. The skies are almost always grey and we were fixing fences this morning! CG

Color Harmony- warm
I like you technique in using colors that bring out textures in the picture. I can feel the wire. The lighting of the fields agianest the draken sky is wonderful.

Very nice work. The clouds and grass meet to confront this constraint to the freedom of prairie. The farmers who used the wire suffered quite an impact from the barbed wire, also, when the ranchers wrapped them in it.
