Your drawing skills never cease to amaze me, I would never have the patience to paint a chain link fence with such precision. This is a great image for the still life art contest. Best of luck.

Well done! I love the bright colors that you used and the incredible detail that you did. I also like the different patterns that you've got going on here with the fence and the mask. You did an excellent job :) Thanks for sharing and have a great night :)

It's all there, all the tools that contribute to the spirit of the game. I like the fact that you have displayed these objects gathered in one place. Great illustration. Keep em comin'.

I "get" that this is the spirit of the game... however, when compared with your other works, it lacks that bit of sarcastic (!) humor and edge that I've grown accustomed to from MKF. I do like the colors in this... I especially think that the fencing is the perfect backdrop to the baseball items. Nice shading on the cap.

Awwww but u didnt pay attention to the contest that I entered this in.."still art" while everyone is drawing flowers, vases, etc..me I throw in sports knowing that most folks don't follow or care but I wanted the smart but to throw in something different..I think I got one vote then..must have been a sports fan..but don't fret I'll be back in form soon..wink thanks for the review

Yea, I come back to comment on this one. It's simple and makes sense, a well put together art with complete ingredients. Great choice of colors, of course, you are good on that. Fabulous shading and details, great clarity and well-composed, excellent job.

Best game in the world. We have been watching my 8 year old grandson play baseball. The construction of the scene tells the story of the game and the tools to play. The background fencing is the perfect background to feature the equipment. Colors are vibrant and sharp.

This is great. Something to see in a child's book or on posters. Well done with great shadow and detail. The bat looks a bit flat though but that is all I could find that would need improvement. Love it.

Excellent work with the marker pens! If anyone thinks working with markers is a breeze, allow me to tell them what a challenge they are. I continue to work with the markers, and hope to have something to post at some point. This is another great work for me to study closely. Did you do each little square on the fence one at a time? Such a pleasure to view your fine work, and what a perfect subject for this time of year. Bravo!

yes! i sketch out the whole scene in pencil patty. while im doing that im mentally noting where my highlights will be or maping in the background showing thru the fence to give the 3d illusion..u can do the same thing..use sitting in ur den or living room and see a well as feel the distance from u.oooooo i know sound like some nut but thats the way i see it even when drawing..wink. thanks for the great review!

Thanks for the info. Still working on my marker pen creativity and skills. Consider it quite a challenge. Another question: do you have a favorite paper that you use?

posterboard or cardstock..they can absorb the ink without bleeding..it also helps reflects the gloss in the ink making it look rich and shiny...one more small hint..when u color in a solid area do it over twice.. the 1st layer sets color but will leave i dim looking with small dots..the 2nd layer gives the color a more solid and richer color..

Thanks so much. never thought of poster board - will have to get and try some of both. I bought a paper just for Marker Pens and for now it is just good for practice. Have been working on faces, wanting to be able to do them well. Definitely not an easy do. Appreciate your input. Still planing to dedicate the first image I post to you! :)
