contest.I love the whole story
book look to it,I love the filter that you used for the snow,I never heard of it.I didn't see Santa right away because I was so into the story.

I can see you had a lot of fun creating this little snow scene. A lot of time and effort obviously went into it. It is a very nice scene but I think the snow looks too grey. It needs more pure white in it in my opinion. It is lacking light and shadows which makes it appear a bit too flat.
Overall a good picture and lovely creative idea.

Hi Sky, I don't know if there would be shadows in a snow storm, but I think you're right about the snow on the ground not being as white as it should be. Your honest review is greatly appreciated because I want to improve as an artist. Glad you enjoyed what I created and thanks for the tips! :o) Helvi

Light always creates shadows no matter how pale those shadows might be. The only time you do not see shadows is in total darkness.
Take a look at some photo references and you will see.

Hah, Hah, what a great story. A bit like a Who Done It but with a "Will he or Won't He Theme". If you have imagination you probably could write a childs story around this image (including the image of course). The trees and snowman look like cake decorations and the house reminds me of a gingerbread house (not sure why). Very pretty with all the tiny snow flakes falling and piled on the ground. Because of the effects of the snow this would also make a great snow scene inside one of those glass domes that you shake. Very creative and very well executed.

Hi Susan, Thank you for the wonderful review. The house in this image IS actually a gingerbread house. The trees and snoman in the front were part of the decorations on it. I added more trees in the back, the reindeer on the roof, santa, the fawns to the right of the house and the ladder. THe house was about 20" incles long and 15" high. A real joy to see! I'm glad you enjoyed my image, it was definitely fun to create. Thanks again! :o) Helvi
