I just love the effects of the oil paint filter. It gives everything a dreamy and soft look. On animals the fur looks fluffy and soft and silky too. Great image of a typical type of Greek shaped urn. It has warm tones in the red which compliment those in the rocks. I like the shaft of light coming through the opening which creates a great deal of atmosphere. Excellent framing and focus.

I sure like the light and texture. The light coming through the opening in the rocks has a strong initial impact. My small problem is I am not sure about the head of the vase. It seems to be almost out of focus. At any rate it does not seem clear. Maybe there is something not right with the eyes. But nevertheless all the best in the contest, John

Thank you very much for the lovely review. I was a bit surprised by your comments though, because I knew the area you are talking about was sharp. I had a look at the original, and I was right, it was sharp. Having a second look at the upload, I could see what you were talking about. I have sharpened the area even more, and uploaded a new version.

A strong image and interesting study in lighting. The adjustments made lends itself to look like a painting which I thought it was at first. I like the use of another light source to fill in the shadows and give the vase and walls some added depth. Good composition and dof. Well done.
