Great Journalistic/Animal Rights Stance.
I do not understand how anyone could bear to bludgeon these sweet little seals. Their eyes are so full of emotion. There is too much cruelty in the world-to animals and to people, especially children. Thank you for taking a stand.

I wasn't planning on being political on this site, but your comments are more then a concern. I don't eat any processed or canned foods anymore, especial since the FDA has refused to force "Monsanto" to label its products.

But back to our mission here, your title says in all, the animal is not the little victim but the monster with the stick & the evil look in his eyes wearing blue matching the blue sky or water.

Collective Consciousness will take care of him & this problem. Thanks for putting the thoughts out there.

This drawing is provocative without being overdone in it's portrayal of violence against the seal. The blues used is an excellent contrast making the white of the snow stand out. Your shadows are spot on. Use of red indicating blood is not overdone. Using darker hues for the skin coloring further accentuates cold. The seal looking up into the face and the man looking down adds in evocation of emotion. I give this a six for skill and excellent execution of getting your point across to the viewer.

Nothing extreme about it! It's about time someone put something with a message on this site. Shark fining, seal clubbing, deer shooting--human rights my ass! Someone aught to club them. Thanks for this, and I really mean it. Keep them coming.

I have to say I love your artwork but I find this one very disturbing. Not sure how this painting connects with the story, just very upsetting!

Think before you feed!
Indeed, animal cruelty is a global concern now.
In the Philippines, a truck full of dogs, around 90-100 caught from the streets, were electrocuted or paddled with a baseball bat one by one until they die before putting them in boiling water to loosen their skin off then they are sold for human consumption in the north. Dog meat is good for dwellers in cold places as they produce body heat.
Here, MKFlood effectively conveys a message that clearly comes across the viewers' mind.
Just look at that tiny, gentle, innocent, harmless creature about to be killed by a baseball bat. Imagine the pain of dying slowly from the impact of several hard blows before the poor animal loses consciousness.
So, before you open a canned meat, think about the sufferings of a fragile soul in the cruel hands of heartless manufacturers.
Thanks for sharing.

My sister goes on animal rights protest marches and all that stuff and she is a vegan. I am not that extreme, believing that we were made to eat meat. However, they are humane ways of producing it. Trouble is there are far too many people on our planet and so food has to be produced the easiest, cheapest and quickest way, which is not always the most kindest. I have never agreed with the actions shown in your picture though, thinking this is very cruel. I might be wrong, but I thought clubbing of baby seals was long gone. Anyway, your picture makes the point very well.
