I like the black and white as it brings out the contrast without the distraction of color. Great focus as always. Bob

Your welcome. It will be a long time before we see any weather warm enough for snakes.

I like the black and white. It goes with the ground coloring. Good focus and tons of detail and texture in this.

Looks like he's headed right for you Willie. Hope he doesn't think of YOU as a mouse? LOL Love the head shot and the angle the snake is entering the frame. Love the texture of the surface he;s slithering over too.

NIcely Done!
Good Luck in the Contest!

Thank you so very much! He was about five feet long but not quite big enough to eat me!

Sir Willie..I actually LIKE snakes! we bring home fox snakes and garters and let them roam the back yard..grandkids love it! I also don't really mind the poisonous ones, just have to be careful! i think using black and white for this was a great idea, you have some really nice detail, and a great pose! Donkeyoatey

Excellent clarity of the markings and texture of the snake for this one Willie. Focus is spot on and the use of black and white a great choice to highlight the snake against the stony road.

This is going to be a quick review, because I hate snakes. I can hardly stand to look at it. But I have looked long enough to say that this is an excellent shot, and it looks really good in BW.

Everything works well here. Sharpness, light and a strong composition. Don't worry. I would not hurt a snake. I would run for my life. LOL

This is a very good entry for this contest, and I wish you luck.

If I see this bad boy don't worry I won't hurt him lol cuz I be running like Forrest Gump lol. You will see dust behind me lol!
You got a good picture of him and as long they are in pictures and behind a thick piece of glass I am ok!
You got great focus and good color and it look like this picture was taken in the street. To bad a car didn't run him over! Sorry lol but that's how I feel towards snakes!
