If I remember right, this is a return of the heron and the log. Great image. The water is mirror-like and adds depth with its reflections. Great composition and camera technique. Another great image!

Omg I love it!
This bird is very beautiful and his colors are awesome. I just love how you captured him drinking the water and I also love how you also got his reflection in the water. Oh wow i'm really loving this picture it's very beautiful. You got perfect focus and color but most of all perfect timing. Awesome job and good luck in this contest!

Amazing compositionally and technically, especially I am reading 'straight out of the camera'-very impressive! The background is just perfect, one can't tell the shoreline from the water and that is mystical. Very sharp and clear-I just love how you saw this work, the bird reaching into the "V" of the log in the water and he also forms a "V" with the beak touching the water. Just perfect! Jean

Willie,
A wonderful picture of this Great Blue Heron, bill to the water & eyes searching for movement below. The water so still aroung him that his refiection is a perfect mirror image, looks as if it was admiring it! The soft greys & browns of the surrounding water gives one the feeling this is a beautiful painting in a Victorian Bird Book. A beautiful composition with soft lighting superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A very nice shot the clarity and reflections out standing, as is the definition of the herons feathers. Nice composition and good luck.

What a stunning capture! It must be quite an experience to see these birds in person. Great contest entry, with so much great reflection of several elements in the image. I really like this a lot....such a calm and gentle moment when the water is so very still. Colors are just lovely and enhance that mood, and give the heron the center stage. Very nice shot!

Well I would say you have a very nice reflection of the heron and the focus is excellent you can see the feathers on the back
