I can't say that this isn't a harsh image, but it represents something good. This is a great way to honor our men and women who risk their lives for us, and show what they go through in the process. You did an amazing job :) Thank you for sharing this :)

nope..i was a cannoneer (primary which is artillery) and commo (secondary which is telephone and radio crewman) in the army. I reckon my notes to this illustration speaks for my feelings to all medics. wink. thanks for the awesome review.

Another brilliant work with a great message! The level of detail in this is far greater that I would expect. I know that even though you categorize your work as "cartoonish", it always has an unexpectedly high level of detail, and this piece is a great example of that. Very well done!

ok david you caught me..i have tons of gallery style sharpie/bic artwork but you see I work with a office medium. folks just don't accept sharpie and bic pens as an art material or artwork and is categorized as cartoon. years ago I used to get pissed when I got comments like "hey nice drawing! so when you gonna do some real artwork like painting and so on..: its taken about 4 decades with this medium and shoving my way thru the art world to get recognized. sad part is the only way I could hit #1 was only thru cartoon skits like "funny flowers" and "strange critters" cartoons.. my focus now has been doing illustrated music videos lately, which you can view on my profile page(scroll down there are about 15 total) or can be viewed on YouTube.cm under the name mkflood. you know if you put my name in (mkflood as one word) on explorer or google there is tons of leads to me on lots of gallery artwork besides cartoons. I knew when I posted this I was gonna get that..i didn't know you did this kinda work. however I draw for the majority not for what I enjoy to draw just to get ahead. wink. thanks for the awesome review.

Gosh darn it....I do not have a 6 to give you.

Love your notes, and I honour all those who risk their lives so that MY life is what it is....free.

Mark, this is a very meaty presentation, there is sa lot to see...from that helicopter in the distance to the injured men being helped. It is realistic and could be anywhere....you did well to make the terrain neutral.

well olga this is based on the Vietnam war. unlike today the viet kong realize if a American soldier is wounded he is sent home. they knew they could defeat us to attrition and protest at home. nowdays I understand they patch em up and then send back in on the fight Afghanistan. I think the kids have it tougher today but who says a war is really easy. wink, I did beau ceau gallery style drawings like this but I was always labeled as a cartoonist cause I work with sharpie..guess you can say I finally gave in to accepting being a cartoonist than an artist. I come long way fighting my way in the art world with an office medium..i still get the usual question.."have you ever thought of using other mediums?" I cant get over how many folks have a tough time accepting sharpie and bic pens..oh well I'm hard headed anyway and still have seen anyone form the sharpie.com site ever demonstrating blending or shading with these pens..im just an old dinosaur..wink thanks for the awesome review. Hi MKFlood

This is a departure from your usual and what a departure and what a tribute to the veterans. The colours, orange and green, blend well though most people say they dont. Excellent work! R

not really. just a full circle. In the past I never really desired to do cartoons..i have tons of gallery work all done with sharpie and bic but you know how the artwork world feels about pen art..they class us as cartoos..so I will admit it..i gave in for the benefit to get noticed..but my love is always doing this kinda work..wink. thanks bro for the awesome work (thumbs up)
