how cute is this and quite comical, the little boy looks a right comedian, with his specs half way down his face and his mouth partial open, those eye says a lot, very expressive,, initial impact, very good frame, and focus with clarity, im sure you will do well with the competition good luck

Wonderful catch!! Would you mind sharing the technical aspects of the shot? Lighting, etc. It's always nice to keep your camera handy for just such an occasion.

Thank you so very much! I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 12-60 mm lens 125/sec f8 with an external flash mounted on the hot shoe.

This is so cute. You have cropped in perfectly. The colors are great! And the composition is great, too. I don't think the dead space on the left, relly distracts, I like how the picture is presented, a little off center. Just precious! You were very lucky to get such a funny expression!

How can one not like this. The framing and pose is perfect. It looks like a flash? however it was good lighting on the subject. Focus is perfect. His eyes say it all, really good composition. I hope you rewarded him for this pose:)
