I like this image a great deal. I just love Venice. Out of all the places I have visited, Venice is at the top of my list. I also love the ball they have every year were guests get dressed up but in particular wear these types of masks. They are just so elaborate. By comparison with some masks, these are fairly plain but what attracted me was the wonderful dark green colour. With light reflecting on them, they are showing up lots of detail as well as tones. Looks like it was raining when you took this shot since I can see what looks like little drops of water all over the frame. If it is not rain, then I do not know what is giving this effect, but actually I like it. The background compliments the masks, although I am not keen on the pattern - but having said that it does not detract from the subjects. Only comment I would make on the negative side is perhaps the shot it a little too dark in the upper part of the frame. Otherwise very well captured with very good framing and focus.

Nicely framed display of masks. Very clear with no reflection from the intervening window. A bit dark in the upper part.
