There was no photograph. The valley is product of my imagination I used one of our cats as model to draw from.

That is a pretty kitty and the flowers ar phenominal. nice colors. he has some big eyes and the look is so perfect really. reminds me of my cat he will look like that sort of non interested.

I LOVE this painting. Love the curve of the path that winds through the wildflowers. The bright colors of the flowers pop of the page. I really like the colors you chose and how you arranged them.
Love how you have the cat turned to the right creating a new path to see that pretty feline. I also love how you have one foot lifted as he walks over the flowers.

Nice colours and composition but I think you could have put a little more detail into the cats body, in particular his legs just to bring him forward a bit more which would have helped give a sense of depth and motion.

Thank you for your honest review and your input. The leak of detail in the background is intended. I chose the semi-impressionist look to emphasize the surreality of the location as I wrote in my comments. It is just one of the pictures to a fable. Only the cat is real. The location is a dream similar to Alice's Wonderland.

It's position and pose is engaging, so close to us and on his cat way somewhere, ignoring us, lol. Your colors are so attractive, creating an almost fantasy charm to the piece. Composition is sound, but maybe the weakest element here - not really complex enough throughout all the elements of the picture, maybe a little too obvious, to fit intriguingly around your cat - but still sound. It's just that your cat is so damn wonderful - lol! I enjoy this piece so very much. Thank you for posting!

Thank you very much for your throughout review, your input and your high rating. You are very right with the fantasy appearance and the obvious feeding of the fantasy landscape around the cat. This effect is intended; but may works only with the story and in the series of pictures. Only the cat is real, the location is not.[See my comments.] The story is a fable, a dream similar to Alice in Wonderland. :-)

The cat has been painted so well and you have given him some movement in his tail and leg too. The flowers are delightful with various colours and also light falling on some areas of the leaves.
