This has a bit of painting like effect. Don't you think? I think especially on the water at upper right corner. The highlight there is quite bold. The viscosity of the current must be different at the different location and it seems to reflect an appearance of the water. This is a quite interesting illustration. Thank you for sharing.

Hey, did you actually find moving water where you are? It looks like an minature wave, just needs a surfer in it! Interesting movement, nice offset composition, and natural in every way. Donkeyoatey

No, that isn't were I am now. I was taken about a year ago at the Yucatan. It is actually a miniature wave, caused by the incoming tide. That is a cute idea for an Mixed Media, put a surfer in...mmmm....do Mermaids surf? LOL

This picture give me a LOL as it is very special to see such a rock in the waters and the swirling water around to take it as a shot - great initiative - that shows that you love nature in all detailed - amazing color composition in this picture as there is just water and sand - perfect clarity and transparency on the water - super frame - great angle - wonderful frame - well done

Thank you very much. That was one of those shots, which are not without danger. I was standing on a coral in the water through incoming tide. That is a way to be caught by as wave and get the camera wet, which means to loose it.

I really get a great sense of movement of the water here Cleo. Well captured with good detail and clarity - good luck in the contest my friend!

Oh you've captured this so well Cleo , so much movement too I feel I would get sucked in and down by the power , tho I'm guessing its still quite shallow

You wont sucked in. It is quite shallow. The water was only up to my knees at this point. Nevertheless it isn't without danger in incoming tide. A nasty wave could ruin the camera easily.
[That is one of my older photos, token last year at the Yucatan.]
Thank you very much for your review!!!

Good impact, light, frame. The water looks so cool and nice. The leaf in the rapids adds good interest.

did you do a long exposure on this? it sort of has the frosted feel. the water is so clear looking. a nice shot and the ripples on the rock are for lack of a better word. neat.
