I love this flower. Peeps here in Milwaukee got these flowers in their garden and in flower pots!

Such gorgeous, rich tones found in this lily! I can almost feel the warmth of the sun coming off this bloom all fanned out in the lower frame of this capture. Love the touch of topaz, the subtle blends of the foliage as a contrasting backdrop and the lovely light that affords such great details and textures.

I'd call this a wildflower, not a weed. Even growing in a ditch, they are usually desired for their beauty. I used to see these wood lilies growing by the roadside in Canada, as well as in the spring woods. Beautiful capture. I love the richness of the color and texture and the contrasting olive green background.
