This is one of the nicest colored dragon flies I have seen. I really like the pastel colors in this photo. The pastel pink flower looks gorgeous with the pastel blue on the insect and the green background makes both stand out well. Very lovely work.

I never imagined there was so much color and personality in a dragonfly. He is adorable -if that can be said about a bug. I will try a little harder to capture one of these on film.

Amazing you got that close, maybe the camera is smaller, less intimidating than a larger DSLR. Or the dragonfly was very accommodating, ready for a photo shoot. Those oversize turquoise eyes pop out, complementing the pink bloom nicely. Has detailed sharpness and a soft pleasing background, cropped to result in a nice composition.

Actually I didn't crop this, the dragonfly actually filled the frame just as you see it. :o) It could be because of the camera's size the dragon fly was obliging in having its picture taken, but I've had a lot fly away too! Thank you for your lovely review. I'm very pleased you enjoyed my photo.

Beautiful work, your choice to crop this 'up close and personal' a good one. First I am riveted on his turquoise eyes-almost look like shining stones reflecting the light. THe soft pin flower is my next visual stop, wonderful color which works well with the eye color. Your angle is perfect, and the clarity is pinpoint sharp! Beautiful! Jean

I just took a photo of a dragon fly that I had loved. He almost performed for me. But he isn't nearly as beautiful as this one! Wow, beautiful colors, DOF,You can see every detail of the flower and the dragon fly! Once again, WOW!
