This is so clever! I have no idea how you were able to make it look so real! You have everything just right....lighting, focus and detail. It's so much fun to look at! Thanks for sharing and well done!

Hi Janice, I always try to be careful when I'm cutting out images so the cuts are nice and clean. I cut very close to the image so there are no ragged edges. This image required 4 cut out images and a background. I made copies of the heron once I got him cut out of his background.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this! it was a lot of fun to do! My first posting of it here was back in August of 2013 Thank you so much for the awesome 6 star rating! I'm thrilled! :o) Nancy

Hi Ray, I had a walking heron and three pictures of kids enjoying a pony ride. I also had a nice pathway I could place all of them on. What else could I do? LOL Wish I had more images that I could play with like this! I did this way back in 2013. I'm glad I reposted it and am thrilled that everyone seems to be enjoying it! I'm glad you did! Thank you so much for the great review! :o) Nancy

I was here-2013-2019 as booklotto artist, but never reviewed you, maybe. I was digital artist-winner, 3 yrs!! Anyways, very creative art here. Funny to see what could be other than horses. Thanks for this laugh.

What a charming flight of imagination! The idea of riding a heron is both magical and gently surrealâ€"like a scene from a dreambook. I love how you've reimagined the original and given it such airy grace. A lovely blend of playfulness and wonder. Here's my six for you. Keep them coming!

Hi Brian, I wanted to show an old posting I did here in 2013 because their are a lot of new people here who weren't here then. The only thing I wanted to change was in editing was my writer's notes. I did that, clicked on save and discovered my mage had vanished. I already had promoted the piece before I discovered that. I looked desperately in my files to find the image so I had a picture to show. I found the image there but am not sure if it was the original I originally posted. Sometimes I save more than one of the same image and improve it after it's saved. Now I'm afraid to post past images unless it's in my email box.
This image was made up of three different children who were originally riding ponies. It's also made of one one walking heron that I made three copies of. I also included a new background. You might say it's wierd but I had fun creating something a little different. :o) I don't expect you to like everything I do, so it's ok if you don't like the vision I created. :o) I hope this explains how this was put together and the trouble had trying to re-post the image!
Thanks for reviewing and sharing your thoughts! :o) Nancy

An extraordinaire scene of these three girls riding with these gigantic herons. I like your imagination. The subjects are well-arranged in the frame. The tall heron and those tall trees in the woods fits well in the vertical frame. I also like the walking trail and the stone that you have included. The mixed media aspect was well executed. Nance, this is like a scene from a fantasy movie and is surely an artwork with a story to tell. High on originality and creativity.
All the best in this contest!
