This is a wonderful image, and tho I am not very familiar with tone mapping, whatever you did to this is just phenomenal, and it is certainly and impressive sight. I love the effects, and the depth you have created is just magnificent. Very well done. So much to see, but the perspective just channels the eyes perfectly into and through the work. Excellence!

Very nice image of the lakeside and walkway. I think you got the effect you wanted but it's hard to tell, tone mapping is tricky. Thanks Charlie

A beautiful shot indeed! I like the perspective view. The image is sharp. The colours natural. I light and shadow adds depth to the scene. Overall, an impressive work. Thanks for sharing!

Willie to my eyes tonemapping always looks best when we don't know it's tonemapping.

I think you did well here and I will tell you why.

With tonemapping there is a good chance of halo effects and you seemed to have pushed that micro smoothing button to an area that gives you a clear sky. The image looks like it's almost straddling two worlds...photography and a drawing, a painterly effect, did you use painterly on this? ....usually it's a good place to start and then monkey with the buttons from there.

Where I feel the photograph is weak is the ambient light. You shot this during high contrast and those black shadows on the walkway destroy the photo for me, a smoother scene would have been better as you have a lot of nice lines to give visual meat to the shot. I see the shadows are long so I am thinking you must have taken this late in the afternoon...around 4 ish?

Hope that helps.

Thank you so very much! It was taken in the late morning about 10. The sun was bright so I under exposed all the shots so I could work with it. I used the default option as the others was way too much. I do wish there had been big white puffy clouds but this beats a gray one. I think maybe if I were to go here at about 7:00AM The lighting may be a lot better. You are looking west in this shot the only time to get this is in the morning or after the sun sets which I do plan to do.

I'm sorry I don't know what tone mapping is. Interesting photo though. I guess I like the blue sky and water the most, they really stand out. The pieces on top of the gondola? are very nice all in a pattern. Lovely photo, good luck with sales!

I like the detail in the wood work and the way you captured so many different shapes and colors on this boardwalk/peer. Good lighting too. The construction was perfect for this picture. Nice work.
