What comes to my mind when I see this photograph is the song, "Wipe-out" -- great tune. Anyway, lots of action, energy, movement, initial impact, storytelling/DOF, and overall techniques are very good. Thanks for sharing.

Great focus with this photo!! I love the breaking wave and the closeness of the surfer. Really great job of capturing the moment.

Another wipeout, or maybe a very wet wetsuit to follow. Good freeze action catch, placement of faltering surfer in the scene. Has nice lighting, plenty of impact in more ways than one.

Fred,
A brilliant stop action picture of the surfer about to crash into the wave head first, the foam & splashes caught in suspended animation as the wave is about to crash onto the sands. Beautiful composition & lighting superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

I think that maybe he did an OOOPs. A great motion shot with good focus and detail in the capture of the rolling wave,

Regards,
Robin.

Like loosing his balance on the surfboard! ha Neat action shot of this fellow getting eaten up by the surf. Definitely not like the waves they have off the coast of Portugal but big enough for this guy to fall. Nice sharp photo of the wave and surfer Fred. You froze the spray of the wave well and caught the guy just as he started to fall.

Great snap shot and oops, yes the balance got lost just in that specific moment, but the body position he has, he still can get a glimpse of recovery - anyways a super shot- I like your diversity and activities - goes perfectly with my life style, everywhere and all - that is a wonderful sport image, nobody else there as he - a quiet ocean and the special wave - just well done

when the wave twists can get you up again, depends - but if the wave goes on, no chace for sure, thanks for sharing

This is an awesome shot. You captured him mid wipe-out. I love it. Good impact. Great detail and DOF. The lighting and colors are so bright and vivid. You've framed it perfectly. You're depth of focus is amazing. Fantastic work!!!
