This is exquisite work. This must take lot of time and patience to do this kind of work. You have created wonderful action in the horse and rider. The angles and perspective is terrific. You have shown mussel tone in the horse. The is a outstanding job of your skills. Thanks for sharing.

Ky Cowgirl, all I can say is thank you so much, I'm flattered. I think that what the animals and rider do in these rodeo events is simple amazing.
had a very close relative who used to ride bulls.
    take care

This is a wonderfully expressive piece. You've really caught the action of the rider and horse. The medium is really interesting. Great job!

Very nice western pen and ink drawing! It is a must have for someone in a wild west home somewhere! Can I find the time to go to a rodeo again? That's what it leave me saying to myself!

sunflower, thanks for the time, now down to it... why the rating? what is wrong with the drawing or what is it lacking in your humble opinion? because no where in the review do you state how to improve the image, I'd really like to know... take care and have a good one... LvO

This is very nice. I like how you created this action scene. This pose of both the horse and rider look so real in design. Nice blending and shading. Good work on the hair on the horse head as you see the hair flow with the jump. The hat is falling off the riders head to also present a moving piece. Very well presented. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Mary, in an attempt to educate, Hello, first off thanks for the time spent on the review.
Let me assure you that this is not a omputer generated image. The image was drawn by hand, the technique is pointillism and it was perfected by painters like, Camille and Lucien Pissarro, G. Seurat, P Signac and George Lemmen to name a few, they did it with color, there believe was that it was truer way to get natural colors and allow the viewer and the eye to match and mix the colors to create a image that flowed, where the colors were not compromised by the mixing, not get muddied out as it were?. So this is one I did using a open and ink, it?s a way of creating a drawing without lines, so that you create shape and from, and where it all flows? glad you like it ? have a great day and cheers?LvO

Thank you for explaining your work. I have a lot to learn about art, draing---painting--ect. I do well with photos cuz I know them pretty well. Anything you want to teach me I'd love to learn more. I may not understand it for awhile though so have patience if I mess up my reveiws.

I love this. You really get the feeling of energy from both the rider and the horse. I too draw rodeo scenes and know how hard it can sometimes be to re-create that raw action. Great work!

Isn't it amazing how those lone little dots can sit on the page and create the illusion of such a whallop of action? This is a great piece that conveys the thrill of a rodeo. You might want to darken up the rider's leg where it meets the horse. They almost blend together.

Great work.

Brightside, yes I think that is because of the way the scanner picked up the image, it is more defined in the original... thank you for the review... cheers... LvO
