I knew right away way the wolf was so large, it was little Red Riding Hood, and the BIG bad wolf! :)
This is amazing work, if I ever figure out "pictures" I will have to give the whole layers thing a try.
Your forest is wonderful and has a very "deep" feeling to it. The red mushrooms and little bunnies are great additions to the story and image. Very nice lighting along the path.
Very enjoyable piece of art!

This is a magnificent composition Annie. Excellent detail and fantastic color. I like the size of the big bad wolf, as I think this is how it should be. Great DOF and detail in this piece. Very nicely done.

Overall excellent design and depth. Mixture of colors is exceptional and the use of light makes your painting superb. All the features of your presentation are very professional and deserving of at least an electronic six.

I love this interpretation and the red colors in this photo. Other colors blend in very well. In fact the size of the wolf is not too exaggerated. Your composition also placed the girl first attention. Well executed.

I can understand why the wolf is larger!(at least im my eyes) The wolf is after all, "The BIG BAD Wolf" in this scenario! This IS a fantasy contest and your mind SHOULD be able to play with that fantasy!
I love the way the wolf is staring at Little Miss Riding Hood! I LOVE the look of Miss Hood. All the little extras you added such as the bunnies, the mushrooms and the flora around the wolf's feet add SO to the image. I like the painterly effect of the forest too. Everthing works beautifully together.
I think it's a WONDERFUL entry for the Contest!

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Donkey. I know what you mean about Riding Hood not being integrated well, but still have not figured out what is best to do about it. Will give it a try though.

Very well done and perfect for the contest. I get the meaning of the large wolf to make him so much more intimidating compared to the small girl. Beautiful blending of, oh so many photographs to create a realistic, but fairytale like image :)
