Really nice shot. So many ice icicle pictures are predictable but with the inclusion of the interesting sky, and especially the way they have captured the color from the sky make for a really interesting pic. One small caveat: I can't help but wish the tree were in sharper focus, but the focus on the icicles works. A suggestion: crop out as much of the bottom as you can, and clone out the tree if possible. Thanks for sharing this-I'm going to vote for you!

I really like the idea behind this image. Technically it is fine with nice sharp icicles (if you will excuse the pun) and a blurred background. However, I would suggest that you might have been better to zoom in on the icicles and go for a much tighter shot. That would have brought out the coloured through through the ice is a more compelling way. Good luck in the competition.

Love these icicles as we do not get them in Melbourne where I live. Great clarity and focus on the icicles with the light shining through. Lovely background cloud colour.
