This is really a lovely close up of this little guy, and it is so cute to see the little hands holding the seed so carefully. It is very nice with the almost white background, and the squirrel is standing out from it in the most excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing clear and well defined details, and especially the whiskers are showing so well against the white. You have also captured the bright and shiny eye so well. The exposure is perfect.
The tight framing is working well, and the squirrel is well placed within the frame. This is just an excellent SOOC shot, and with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

He is so cute and cooperative. The tight shot is great. The focus is excellent and just enough lighting to illuminate him without overpowering the scene. The intensity on his face shows he means business. The DOF is excellent and his fur looks so soft and healthy.
