I like this for its sheer sobriety-- the careful wall paper, the matched carpet, the obvious trappings of crown with a careful crucifix- well if you were in England, they would say, THE QUEEN IS THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH- Church of England etc and the medal around his very beautifully textured fur. Of its own genre it is perfect..

Every cat I have every owned seems to have that regal attitude, they are the royalty within the household.
I think in this with the colors used and the scene depicted, you have created that image. The cat is well rendered and has that look of like it or not, I'm in charge.

The eyes say it, the stance says it, the plush red seating says it.

Nicely done drawing using the media very effectively. It is to me framed a little tightly at the top.
