Interesting story with great color and detail.
I like the people on the lower left side. Just enough there to tell you there are guys watching the sun go down.
Then I look at the sunset and it is incredible. Love the colors and soft waves.
The two lights add a nice touch. And the color of the cover is rich and very interesting. Different and compelling. I like it a lot.
A strong story Willie. Well done.

Willie, a wonderful tonal quality here that is so pleasing.

No I wouldn't say that Owensboro is the american city. The American city would be Milwaukee, Wisconsin baby lol. We are the home of Harley Davidson and we got the biggest music festival in the summer. That festival is called SUMMERFEST! We got it all right here!
We party like no other and it is the most beautiful city ever!
You should come up and see it sometime!
But really I love this picture. Owensboro holds a lot of wonderful memories for me, matter of fact that's where it all started for me lol. I was conceived in Owensboro Kentucky lol thanks to you and mama lol!
The focus is really good and the color is perfect!

This is a fantastic shot Willie, and I just love all the vibrant colors. Both in the impressive sunset and the foreground of what I am not sure of what is. LOL I think however I would rush in and straighten this photo, because the horizon is not straight.
The photo is pin sharp with great details and a fantastic light. I also think the people hanging over the rail watching the sunset adds interest.
Your POV was just perfect with good leading lines bringing the viewer into the composition. This is such a different shot and really well taken, and the DOF is just excellent. Good luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much! I did rotate it and it looks better. I discovered that if I get the horizon straight it makes the rest look like it is off so I just rotated little by little. It is not perfect but some better. I am glad your eyes was on it.

Very beautiful! I love the dark rich colors you captured. I love how the lights shine on the roof. The sunset is out of this world. I like that you have a person leaning on the rail.
