a very beautiful image. lovely the way you have constructed this rather wonderful bloom and also to learn of it's fantastic function. there is so much power in these types of plants. the ball type structure has a great texture.

I was going to review this last night but my ADD kicked in when reading that you were trying to translate Te de Monte. Google translate didn't help. I've studying Spanish and from my what I've learned so far... it could mean "of the mountain"
This digital piece of art is exquisite! I ligit thought it was an oil paining until I read your description.
Fine Work!

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments and your effort translating the name! :o)
Apparently, you misunderstand my comments. I am fluent in Spanish and already had translated the common name. It translates "Tee of the Mountain" or Mountain Tee. I was looking for the botanical name which michiganmike found for me. The botanical name is "Sideritis Syriaca".

a beautiful piece of work whereby you have used a very soft approach to your brush work to establish the sensitive perception of this gorgeous bloom. The blending used is exquisite

A beautiful picture of this beautiful & delicate flower on this medicinal herb the light highlighting the pale cream petals that appear to be being tossed about in the breeze. The soft green of the background makes a beautiful backdrop. Created by your Artist's eye for composition very skilful digital artistic techniques, beautiful choice blending & application of your colours in bringing this flower to life.

A finele renderted digital painting that looks an oil painting done in an impasto technique!:) I love the gentle merging of colours which are kept to a minimum. Overall an impressive work!

It sounds like this herb has the properties of a small scraggly variety of Damiana herb that grows in the desert. The flower that you so skillfully painted here has very elegant petals; it looks very alive! My admiration!

michiganmike just identified this herb. The botanical name is Sideritis syriaca.
-
What a clever guy! I did wonder if this flower might be related to Camomile due to the center, and Sideritis syriaca is related to camomile, apparently. But what perplexes me, is that the photos of Sideritis syriaca I found on the Internet searches do not look like this; not that I have found. Could you post a photo, or email a macro photo, showing the leaves?
-
Sorry, I still cannot post or mail photos because my old laptop crashed and my programs won't work on my new one. That is why I am reviving old posts. If I understand right, the colors of Sideritis syriaca will change with the area the grow in accounting to the minerals they obtain from the water.

Oh I see. Interesting. Yes, welcome to the "Crashing Club"!

Just Beautiful Cleo, I can create an image like this... but only from a program on my photo.
But you have the real talent with actually creating the piece yourself without the help of a photo.
So lovely and yet simple.
Your colors are rich and subtle.
Wonderful work.

Beautiful Cleo!
The color choice and how you have blended them are both great. The depth and use of light is also nice and provides nice realism to the piece. A great piece Cleo!

Exquisite and Beautifully expressed. You capture light like the impressionist. Your strokes have breath to them. The colors are harmonious as they sing springtime. Excellent!

This is such a pretty roadside herb, it's fascinating to know that it grows wild and has medicinal purposes. I like the pale yellow petals and appreciate the way you have positioned them around this golden toned center, it's a wonderful show of the sunlight on the petals and a nice placement in the frame, I like the soft green tones in the background , this is well created , arranged and presented!
