I am not a great cat lover I have to say. My neighbour has more than 8 so thank goodness we live in the countryside. But I am partial to Siamese and these Ragdoll cats which to me look very similar. The background/foreground plays important roles in this work and certainly compliments the cats. Clever to pick up the colour in the eyes and use in the background. Very striking picture.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Yes, the Ragdolls have similar colouring to Siamese, just different in temperament and longer hair. Suzanne

I had siamese sisters and they were similar to you. These cats are really pretty. Nice faces and beautiful blue eyes. Very nicely drawn and painted pastels are lovely. Great blue background as well. Wonderful image!

Thanks so much, Natalie, for your lovely review. The Ragdolls do have similar colouring to Siamese, just longer hair and different temperaments.

Realistic painting at its best. Excellent use of pastels. The colours are very peasant to view and draw the eyes in. The delineation of the cuddly cats is charming. Overall, a fine work!

Really nice work here
Great colours and nice b/g with the blues and light lime greens
i feel you need to ground these two little guys a bit by maybe a bit of shadowing or darker at the bottom of the subjects so they don't look like they are floating in space but overall really nice piece

Many thanks for your very nice review. There is actually more shadow on the original but the uploads of pastels are never very good. Suzanne
