Excellent shot Willie! I read the contest rules, they say no edits. So not sure why you made all those adjustments. The contest is action shots no edits including cropping.
Still it is a fine capture with excellent exposure and shutter speed with fine editing in Topaz.

This is beautiful. Good composition. I like the way I come into the picture and encounter the trunk as a frame of reference.

Then this guy appears to be running on water. And he has this poor large fish well under control for I guess it is lunch.

Good story image and I am excited by the action. And I really like the colors of your water.

As far as I can judge, this must be a very good entry for this contest. The stop action is just perfect, and the fact that the bird is also holding a bird in the beak adds a lot of interest to this scene. It looks like the bird is walking on water while heading for the log sticking out.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and also the fish and the log. The exposure is perfect, and the colors nice and natural.

I also think the photo has got a neat cropping, and the bird a good placement within the frame. Indeed a well taken shot with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
