Nature framing a man made figure. Perfect for this contest in my opinion. The fact you did not use color was the right decision. I think color would have distracted from the meaning of this piece; or the meaning of this piece as I see it. Thank you for sharing and you SHOULD win this contest!

An interesting story to go with the interesting photo. I like the sinuous form of the banyan (?) roots and the way they almost caress the head. Excellent perspective and cropping, Best of luck in the contest.

Lol. I've seen this Buddhas trapped in the roots. You know, the more likely is what the thief. Excellent lighting, like good texture and good DOF. Great details and sharp focus. Good job. Luck.
