Very similar to Monet's famous painting except for the lilies on the water. Wonder if that's the same bridge or if its been replaced in the last 120 years. Excellent comparison of this scene Fred. Nice photo and thanks for sharing the painting along with it.

120 years? That must be one hell of a bridge! Comparison unfair. The pics are very different, perspective, color palate, etc. I would like to see yours alone. The reflection on the water makes an interesting statement. Unique presentation.

I have seen the original masterpiece at MOMA.I was overawed! But have't had the opportunity to visit Monet's birth place. This is an interesting presentation. Lovely shot . Thanks for sharing your experience!

Fred,
A beautiful picture showing us the site that inspired Claude Monet's beautiful painting. While there are no lilies in your picture the reflections on the waters surface makes up for them. Beautiful composition & lighting with superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

Clever collage giving us the artwork as well as your own lovely photograph. We missed Monet's Garden when we were in France which was a shame - Beautiful setting.

Artist presentation. Clarity of water reflections, especially the bridge. The sun is a bit too bright on the weeping willow, maybe a touch of shadow will fix that, and give it more definition. High five on creativity. Well captured and a pleasure to view.

GREAT and thanks a lot

A refreshing comparison of a bridge that perhaps many if us thought it was not existing anymore because if the time lapse since the creator painted this!
Harmonious modern colors from the subdued original scheme.
The weeping willow is still present in the garden ornamental collection.
Excellent lighting, focusing & framing.
