My husband and I have always thought the same about Dandelions. Plus, they are so much fun for kids to pick and give to mama! Nice cheerful sunny day picture.

I think some of the prettiest flowers are classed as weeds and I love it when my grandchildren pick them to give Nanna. Like the way you have included the fluffy seed heads. Colour is great. :) Mary

A weed is just a flower out of place, they say.
I like your acrylic treatment here, the background is a nice soft summer blue, you've suggested the dandelion leaves just enough, and I like the delicate seed heads. It must look real because a moth just landed on it, on my screen! B

I agree with your thoughts on dandelions they are quite lovely! This painting is lovely as well in the use of color composition. I love how the vibrant blue sky enhances the brilliant yellow hue of the dandelions making them stand out more so. The lush green grass and stems of the dandelions look stunning against the canvas of blue. The artist shows stages in this painting in including the puffy dandelion seed flower therefore providing a before and after depiction of the dandelion. The shape of the billowing white clouds appears to mirror the shape of the dandelion seed flower as well tying the whole painting together. My first reaction to this painting was that it was reminiscent of Rembrandt or Van Gogh possibly is the wispy composition of the clouds and use of vibrant earthy colors and subjects. A well captured depiction of naturally occurring beauty.
