It is really a fine seascape photo, and I am sure a bit different from the rest in the contest. Some times tone mapping can have the effect of an softened focus, and I think this is the fact here, because the couple walking along could have stood out sharper and better defined.
I also think the photo suffers from a bit of noise which is mot visible in the sky. I do however think that the exposure is fine, and it is also good colors.
For an absolute perfect composition I would have liked to see the couple more to the left, because they almost too centered. What you cold do was to crop just a tad more on the left, and then the same at the top to keep the format. I would of course have to try this myself before I was sure it would work.
It is a well taken photo Willie, but this time I think it needs a few adjustments. Still I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much! I agree with your statements but I had little to work with as it was a very bad day for this shot. I used the tone mapping to lighten it up. I don't live anywhere near the ocean and this was the only one I could find and since there was nothing else to choose from I entered this. A contest is like the lottery! If you don't enter you for sure won't win. Thank you again for your honesty.
