Yes they can be mean when they think you are getting too close to their babies. A good close up of her head beak and tongue. Very well done and thanks for sharing.

Robin.

Ha ha! Great capture of the angry Mother Goose - she does look very fierce! I like the pose you caught here.

Lighting and focus very good showing excellent clarity. Very nice composition. Suzanne

What a mouth. I never realized they have a serrated bill that looks like teeth. I love the orange rimmed eye. Nice details in the white plumage as well as the tongue. Excellent job of cropping and great colors.

I have been going back and forward to this and why only just reviewing it. That tongue looks lethal doesnt it a weapon in itself. Had no idea they had a tongue like this. It looks solid also. Good reason to keep away i think Like the close up shot of this definetly makes you look twice

That mouth is amazing had no idea. On first look it looks like three beaks in a way.

I've never noticed this before, but there are little serrations on her bill. Ouch. Nice catch with the tongue out. Good sharp focus. Very nice shot.

WOW for sure and this is a 6* capture, perfect reaction, handsome courage to keep in focus while he prepares to attack - amazing close up portrait of a very special moment - this tong is beyond in size we never se what they have in their beak but now we do - super focus, perfect contrast and lighting , pin sharp in details , perfect exposure , a genuine nature shot, well composed, well done

Wish I had more stars left. This is quite a capture and I'll bet you did run! Beautiful colors, superb focus. Her bite would have been quite powerful. We had one strike a slowly moving car tire because we were watching the babies next to the road. Sounded like a gun went off. Very nicely done.

Outside of seagulls,I think geese can be very nasty birds.
Having been attacked by both,I know this ones anger well.
Great job in capturing this
emotion that you stirred up by taking shots of her kid.Super close up,great composition and very good sharpness.
Good idea to run for your life~
